Moderately deep crimson, even colour throughout. The nose is elegant and a bit coy, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, plum, mocha, dried herb and baking spice. Medium-bodied, aromas of blackberry, cherry and plum intermixed with black pepper, vanilla, nutmeg, mocha and thyme. A smooth mouthfeel greeted with attractive fruit and an enticing acid line, silky tannins provide structure and strengthen a lasting finish. This barrel-selected Pinot Noir is elegantly composed, silky and harmonious. Match with lamb loin and duck breast over the next 8+ years. Fruit from Pisa sub-region, 100% destemmed, fermented in barrel to 14% alc, then aged in barrels, 33% new French oak. Vegan friendly. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Sep 2025
