Bright, even, pale yellow with some depth. The nose is gently full and open, with aromas of nectarine, orchard fruit, cashew, yoghurt and flint. Medium-full bodied, aromas of nectarine and apple melded with citrus peels, roasted cashew, spice, vanilla and smoky flint. The fruit is bright, supported by enlivening, zesty acidity. Barrel fermentation enriched the flavour profile, layering subtle nutty and flinty details. This Chardonnay is generous with primary fruit, adorned by flinty complexity and a lengthy finish. Match with roasted guinea fowl and pork over the next 5+ years. The fruit was from the Pisa sub-region, clone 95, hand-selected, and whole-bunch pressed into French oak barrels for fermentation. Approximately 10% of new oak. Underwent MLF. 13.5% alc. Vegan friendly. 19.5/20 pts (93 pts) Sep 2025
