In exceptional years we produce a Reserve Pinot Noir where we take select parcels of fruit and give them some extra special attention including 33% whole bunch fermentation and extended aging in French oak barrels, with 35% in new oak.
The Seventh edition of our Reserve Pinot Noir exhibits dark spicy whole bunch aromas with a nuance of tyme, violet, blood orange and blackcurrent fruit aromatics give way to a live salvating palate. This is followed by an elegant mouthfeel with lots of depth, interest and persistence. This wine will improve with cellaring to at least 2027, however it will still be enjoyable in its youth.

96 points. This is delicious and flattering with awesome complexity and harmony. Fragrant aromas of dark berry, black olive, cedar, truffle and floral lead to a powerfully expressed palate that remains elegant and poised. It is multi-layered and striking with sweet berry flavours combined with deep savoury nuances, finishing extremely long, silky and flowing. At its best: now to 2022.

A very pretty wine with tertiary notes of woodland and mushrooms. Broad and round on the palate with tobacco and red berry flavours. At its best now. - Panel Chair: Susan Hulme MW | Co-Chair: Peter McCombie MW (International Wine Challenge 2020)
Great complexity, earthy spicy, red berries. Matured, relaxed taste. Very harmonious, large, even sexy. Could be better in 90 minutes. (Australian International Wine Challenge 2019)
