This limited edition wine is made in a dry style with the oak giving the wine a softness and richness while still retaining its intense fruit characteristics.
Not overly oaked, this is a complex and elegant wine that provides a point of difference in the spectrum of Pinot Gris.
Spicy clove and apricot kernel aromatics showing subtle oak overtones are followed by a warm lush rich full palate. This wine shows lots of softness, density and persistence.

The distinctive 2014 vintage (4.5 Stars) was hand-harvested at Pisa, in the Cromwell Basin, and fermented and matured for nine months in seasoned oak casks. Bright, light lemon/green, it is weighty and generous, with concentrated, ripe, peachy flavours, a subtle seasoning of oak, good complexity and a smooth, fully dry finish. It's still unfolding; best drinking mid-2018+.
