Throughout the years, our pinot gris has won numerous awards. The 1998 Pinot Gris won a gold medal and the supreme trophy for other white wines at the 1999 Royal Easter Show. Subsequent vintages have also gained awards, with the 2002 winning a Blue/Gold award in the 2004 Sydney International Wine Competition. This wine was judged of a Gold Medal standing both with and without food, hence the double award. It also has won a gold medal in the 2005 Starwine International Wine Competition in the USA.
Our 2007 pinot gris shows flavours of Nectarine, rockmelon, biscuit and mineral aromatics, a silky elegant mouthfilling wine with generous citrus flavours, depth, concentration and length.
"Rich, almost syrupy wine with masses of pear juice flavour together with a seasoning of spices. Medium wine with a moderately drying finish. An intense Central Otago Pinot Gris." 86/100
